ABOUT
Our Mission
Baskets For Good is a 100% volunteer-driven nonprofit committed to uplifting North Texas families in need. In partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Dallas and other local nonprofits, churches, veterans’ groups, and refugee organizations, we work each year to ensure no family goes without food during the holidays.
What began in 2015 with Thanksgiving meals grew in 2020 into something even greater: a full week of groceries for every family we serve. Each basket includes a traditional Thanksgiving dinner along with everyday staples to carry them through the week.
We believe one act of kindness has the power to change everything. Our vision is to inspire a cycle of generosity—where those receiving help today are empowered to pay it forward and uplift others tomorrow.
Our History
Baskets For Good began in 2015 with a simple mission: to make sure families in need could gather around the table for Thanksgiving. That first year, we provided 240 full meals, and by 2016 we had already grown to serve 270 families.
In 2017, we officially became a 501(c)(3) non-profit, continuing to expand our reach and serving hundreds more each year. From 2015 through 2019, our focus was on providing complete Thanksgiving meals to families across our community.
Then, in 2020, we took a bold step forward. Instead of just one holiday meal, we began delivering a full week of groceries to every family we serve—meeting a deeper need and creating lasting impact beyond Thanksgiving Day.
Much of our outreach is made possible through partnerships with the Greater Dallas Boys & Girls Club, helping serve their families, as well as with small nonprofits, veterans’ groups, refugee organizations, and churches across North Texas.
What started with a single act of kindness has grown into a movement that brings hope, nourishment, and connection to thousands of families year after year.
